INTRODUCTION |
|
ooiCTRLD offers two types of conference: (a)
Internet conference and Face-to-Face conference.
(a) Internet conference.
The Internet conference, also called online conference, takes place on
this conference website. The presentations of accepted papers are
scheduled for viewing and feedback by the public. Click on
Presentation
(Internet)
menu in the Table of Content above
to view current presentations. There is no need to travel to participate
in this type of conference. This is a year-round conference among the
Service Regions. It is for the convenience of those people who are more
interested in publishing their research papers than traveling. The
months indicated above are the months which research papers are reviewed
for each of the Service Region. Very Important: Do not
submit abstracts and proceedings papers for the Internet conference. For
the Internet conference, submit papers for Research Journals and
Teaching Journals only. If you are interested in this type of
conference, submit your paper directly to Dr. Joe at
facultystudentconference@yahoo.com and indicate that it is intended
for Internet Conference, only. All submitted papers are blind peer
reviewed and refereed.
Again, this type of conference is for those who are only interested
in submitting Journal papers and presenting their papers at the
conference website via the Internet. No need to travel.
(b) Face-to-Face conference.
The Face-to-Face conference is organized by each Service Region. The
date of the Face-to-Face conference is different from the Internet
conference date (Month) above. Each Service Region organizes
Face-to-Face conference at its convenience and the details of the
conference will be found on the conference FLYER for the Service Region.
The conference program for each Service Region can be found by clicking
on
Presentation
(Face-to-Face) menu in
the above Table of Content. This will involved traveling to the
conference location to present your paper. All types of papers are
accepted for this type of conference including Abstracts. All the
submitted papers are blind peer reviewed and refereed. Where to submit
your paper will be indicated on the conference FLYER for each Service
Region. If it will not be feasible for you to travel and attend the
conference, then we will schedule your presentation on the Internet.
Again, this type of conference is for those who are interested in
traveling to the conference location to present their papers. The
international participants will need invitation letters from the Service
Region to obtain visa to attend the conference. For details, please see
the conference FLYER for each Service Region above. |

CONFERENCE PHILOSOPHY
AND MORE |
|
Conference
Philosophy:
You have the freedom to do research in any academic area or any area of
community-based participatory research that is of interest
to you and you have the freedom to share your research
experience and results with your international colleagues and students
at the conferences. So, we welcome any topic from any academic
discipline or profession. Instructors, get your student-mentee (s) involved, if you can.
Theme of the conference: Students & Their
Faculty Mentors Focused Research.
This
means that all our conferences are devoted to presenting and publishing
research works that are produced by students, by instructors and
collaborations between the students and instructors.
Topic for a conference paper:
Any
topic of interest to you.
Submission of paper to a conference:
Submit
paper (s) written in English, on any topic of your choice, to any of the conferences
above. If you miss a
conference, submit to the next conference. Check the "Conference
Proceedings (Refereed)" and "Conference Journals (Refereed & Listed in
Cabell Index)" topics in the above Table of Content for the appropriate
Format/Template for the manuscript of your paper (s).
Conference paper reviewers:
Aside
from research, reviewing conference and Journal papers is
another scholarly activity of people who teach in the Universities
throughout the world. We are constantly looking for people to volunteer and help us
review papers submitted to our conferences. The benefit of this is that
we will write you a letter to your academic head, when requested, after the
conference, that you reviewed papers for our conferences. This may
earn you some points towards salary increase and or promotion during
your annual University performance review. Please if you are interested,
click "Conference Paper Reviewing & Reviewers' List" in the above Table
Of Content to learn the details.
Summary of the procedure that we use in
processing the paper (article) that you submit to any of our above conferences:
Papers (articles) are constantly submitted to our
conferences. However, many of the papers do not meet our standard for
conference presentation and appearance in our publications. Instead of
spending unnecessary time and money by sending those type of papers to
our international peer reviewers, only to have them rejected, we have
adopted the following procedure for processing the paper you submit to
our conferences.
1. Select the research topic of your choice for your paper.
2. Using Microsoft Word, type the manuscript of your paper
following the rules
in the proceedings or journal guideline's documents located on this
website.
3. Submit your paper to the conference of your choice above via
e-mail, indicating
the location and dates of the conference.
4. Your paper will initially be screened by our in-house editors. You
will receive a
rejection e-mail from us if the in-house editors found your paper to be
unacceptable.
Otherwise, your paper will move on to the next processing stage.
In some cases, if your
paper is found acceptable, you will be asked to register for the
conference and pay the
conference registration fee before your paper can move on to the next
processing stage.
When
the conference registration fee is received, then your paper will move
to the next
processing
stage, otherwise it will be rejected for not paying the registration
fee.
5. The next stage in this process is that your paper will then be sent
out to our international peer
reviewers (University Teachers in other
parts of the world) to review. Information on the authors
will be removed from the
paper/article before sending out the paper for review (Blind Peer Review).
It may
take weeks to receive the review results. You will need to have patience.
6. Based on the review
results, you will be informed via e-mail that your paper has been accepted
for presentation and appearance in the journal or
proceedings, OR rejected.
7. Then your reviewed paper including the reviewers' notes
(forms) will be e-mailed to you
as a feedback.
8. An official letter of acceptance on the organization's letter head
and request to register
for the conference (if not already registered) will be sent to you following the acceptance e-mail.
9. You will be asked to make corrections to the manuscripts of your
paper after
completing your registration, if necessary. Each paper you submitted to
the conference
has to be registered separately.
10. You will complete the Copyright Transfer form and send it.
11. If you are making your paper presentation on the Internet, your presentation
will be posted on
on our conference website.
12. Your paper/article will then be scheduled for presentation and
publishing.
13. You will present your paper/ article (Internet or
Face-to-Face).
14. Then a copy of the publication (Proceedings or Journal) will be
posted (shipped) to you
if you bought a copy of the proceedings and or journal.
