Copyright Transfer Form

The transfer of copyright from the authors* to the publisher is required for the publication of a paper. The transfer of copyright is essential to protect the authors and the publisher from the consequences of unauthorized use of the content of the paper. The authors shall grant ooiCTRLD all the rights, including the subsidiary right, of their paper. However, the authors retain the right to use their paper without charge, in any book of which they are the authors or editors, after the paper has appeared in the ooiCTRLD publication (s).

Whereas ooiCTRLD has undertaking to publish the paper named below, of which the undersigned are the authors. The authors grant and assign exclusive right to ooiCTRLD for its use. The exclusive right includes all rights of whatsoever kind or nature now or hereafter, as protected by the Copyright Laws (common or statutory) of the United States and all foreign countries in all languages, of the paper named below, including all subsidiary rights. ooiCTRLD, in turn, grants to the authors the right of republication of the paper in any book of which they are the authors or editors, subject only to their giving proper credit in the book to the original publisher (ooiCTRLD).

The authors guarantee that the paper furnished has not been published previously elsewhere. Otherwise, the authors guarantee that if it has been previously published in whole or in part in a copyrighted medium the authors will submit an assignment of copyright to ooiCTRLD with the manuscript. The authors warrant that the manuscript is the authors’ original work. If the work was prepared jointly, the authors agree to inform co-authors of the terms of this agreement. The authors also warrant that the paper contains no libelous or unlawful statements, and does not infringe on the rights of others.

* The word “authors” is used in this document to also mean “author.”
